What happens when you change a tired old computer lab into a makerspace and give three amazing teachers an idea and the materials to make that idea come to life? You get Team Helping Hand! Our district PT, a 5th grade teacher and Tech Lead in our intermediate building joined forces to fulfill a challenge presented by the district tech coordinator to 3D print a prosthetic hand for a student in our district. What happened next changed the lives of the students in two classrooms (K and 5th) and all the adults involved. See how makerspaces are "making" a difference in the lives of students and adults in our district!
