As more and more schools have taken the steps towards becoming a 1:1 environment or are on the verge of making this transition, many are faced with important questions; we’ve gone 1:1... Now what? During this session, we will explore many aspects that allow for a 1:1 program to not only begin successfully, but continue to gain momentum and maintain focus on what is most important; great teaching and learning. We will take a look at several key components to maintaining a successful 1:1 program, including outlining and designing a professional development program that is suited for your school and teachers, ideas to “teach” important information to students regarding digital citizenship, academic usage of technology and day to day expectations, explore how social media and technology can be used to elevate student voice, examine the importance of culture and 1:1 as well as ways that you can re-energize teacher teams and committees into a learning and innovation focus. 1:1 is a great opportunity to take our teaching and learning to the next level. Let’s push the limits!
