Launching our district makerspace, the Dream Lab, was quite an adventure. This session will explore what our cohort of teachers from Kinder to 8th grade uncovered in their discovery of how to use making as a vehicle for core content learning. We'll review the architecture of our Maker Plans, some professional resources to support making in the classroom, review maker space materials impact and ease of use, and even give participants a chance to find a maker plan that aligns with their CCSS & NGSS standards or build their own! The thing that sets this making session apart from others is that it is directly aimed at core instructions, during the day learning. As opposed to being a complete formal presentation -Lisa and Ben will engage in conversation about making. bit.ly/62dreamlab
