During this session, I will be discussing how I use technology such as videos and the app, Seesaw to make kindergarten students engaged, independent and reflective learners. I also use technology such as Youtube, Google drive and Seesaw to involve their parents in the learning process and communicate how they can help their child at home. This presentation will focus on how it will not only benefit English language learners but ALL students to be successful in the kindergarten classroom. If I have time, I will discuss how I increase global awareness in my kindergarten classroom by using powerful pictures of kids from around the world to have powerful discussions during morning meeting (using simultaneous Powerpoints). This allows me to implement culturally responsive teaching while having the students practice their language skills during our morning meeting time
