Hands on experience with STEM skills and concepts provide critical tools for success in todays’ classrooms and workplaces. Regular practice and exposure supports development of growth mindset, collaboration, and problem solving for learners of all ages and abilities. This session will share the relevance of incorporating STEM in the early childhood classroom to enhance learning across content areas. It will provide practical tools for teaching STEM concepts through a combination of lessons that are accessible for all learners, and open ended invitations for exploration.

Kat Armstrong is an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for Deerfield District 109. She believes strongly in inclusive learning experiences that promote growth for ALL students.
