“Real Life” Begins Here: Real-World Experiences Demonstrate a Culture of Innovation

Feedback form is now closed.
Our story began with a community-generated cohesive planning process that stated our values and defined our results: A successful Barrington 220 student demonstrates strong character, independence and resiliency, thinks critically and creatively, solves problems, and collaborates effectively throughout a global society. This plan has charted a course to develop programs to allow our students to experience a one-to-one device initiative (One to World), a real-world entrepreneurship program (INCubatoredu), app development opportunities (including Mobilemakers), and blended learning options. Along the way, students explore through inquiry, create personal agency, solve problems collaboratively, and experience real-world mentorship. We have also found that our students’ journeys extend well beyond their time in Barrington 220. Join us to hear about our continuing journey and hopefully take some ideas back to your own school district.
