#GlenviewCardboardChallenge: Empowering Families through Design and Dispositions

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
The Glenview Cardboard Challenge is a school and public library initiative: encouraging kids and their families to explore the Design Thinking process and foster lifelong learning dispositions including critical thinking, adaptability, resourcefulness, and perseverance. Inspired by the short film, 'Caine's Arcade', the Global Cardboard Challenge is a community engagement event to celebrate child creativity, empower families to understand district values and engage the greater community with libraries. Sponsored by Glenview District 34 and Glenview Public Library.

At this presentation, you will learn identify your district goals, align those goals to an inquiry based learning experience (like the Glenview Cardboard Challenge), identify your stakeholders, and the steps needed to introduce and implement a district wide event. Upon leaving the presentation, you will have the tools to implement your own community outreach event!

Join us and learn how to execute a valuable and exciting experience- a district wide, values aligned, community inquiry learning experience.
