In this breakout session, we will be discussing how to effectively gain and retain long-term trust as a tech coach. I will discuss ideas of how to initially gain that trust, and share some tools and ideas I have used to get started on the right foot. We will then explore how to reach those teachers who are either reluctant to use tech or are seemingly too savvy to need coaching. I will share some tools and ideas I have used to grab those outliers. To ensure that teachers don’t stay stagnant, we will explore how to identify the current capacity of teachers and discuss how to set goals with them to encourage risk taking and growth. Finally, I will talk about how I work with teachers to retain their trust and foster a “reaching” mindset.
