Creating Self-Directed Learners Using BrainPOP

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Many people are familiar with BrainPOP’s amazing videos and quizzes, but did you know that there is so much more that can be done with the site? In our session, we will be digging into the pieces of BrainPOP that teachers can use to personalize instruction for students, allowing them to learn at their own pace and share that learning through creation and reflection. We will investigate how a fifth grade teacher used BrainPOP to create a differentiated Civil Rights Unit, and how you can use the resources on the site to do the same thing. You will leave this workshop ready to bring a BrainPOP personalized learning format to your students that will give them the opportunity to learn at their own pace! Note: While many of these tools are free to all, like GameUP, others require a BrainPOP subscription .
