Making Spaces into Maker Spaces

This session would provide participants with an introduction to Design Thinking, by walking participants through the 5 Phases in small groups, including the construction of a "prototype." Following this introduction, participants will then be exposed to not only the benefits of, but many great examples of, maker spaces within the curriculum. Classroom maker spaces, library maker spaces, and community-district maker space examples will be provided, with videos, sample lesson plans, "maker" prompts, and rubrics.
