The World is Different - Map a plan to lead changes in learning

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Today’s world is smaller and more connected with the pace of change advancing faster than ever. While an Internet connection and corresponding devices have become common, typically learning remains focused on facts and isolated skills that are assessed using traditional quizzes, tests, and projects. Pioneering educators in every school see the need to fundamentally change learning environments as they teach the curriculum by using real resources from around the world to solve authentic problems. A major shift in instructional strategies and school culture requires major change. Leading that change from any position is extremely complex and requires leadership, great resources to support change, and a plan for causing the change to occur. This session will provide leaders the opportunity to map out short-term and long-term plans and identify the resources that will be best used to carry out these plans with different groups of staff members, parents, and students.
