Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she started her career as an elementary classroom teacher. After taking a few years off to start a family, she moved outside of the U.S.and has lived in Amsterdam, Netherlands, West Midlands of U.K., Dubai, United Arab Emirates and London, U.K. When she returned to the field of education, she did so on a new path of educational technology working as a technology integration coach at the American School of Dubai. While in London, UK she designed and implemented a digital learning landscape for a new not for profit IB International School called Halcyon London International School. Now she is living back in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois and is working in River Forest School District 90 as a STEM teacher. Cindy is a Google Certified Innovator, Google EducationTrainer, Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, Apple Distinguished Educator. She completed her undergraduate degree from Hope College in Holland Michigan, acquired a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Minnesota and an Educational Technology Certificate from Michigan State University.
