Gerry is a science teacher at Huntley High School. He has been teaching in the NW suburbs of Chicago since 2006. Gerry completed his B.S. at Northern Illinois University and two Master’s degrees: M.A. from St. Xavier University (Chicago) and M.S. from Northern Illinois University. Gerry was a pioneer in the first Blended Learning program in Illinois in 2011 and was also the first at HHS to implement the flipped classroom model, creating over 100 videos to enhance student learning. His current endeavor of mastery-based learning has escalated the flipped and blended learning model. In the spring, he coaches boys volleyball at Huntley High School.
