Beth Schoo has been teaching for 14 years and was one of the first teachers in district 95 to pilot our one to one IPAD initiative. In addition, Beth also piloted the flip classroom and then had the opportunity to present to educators in the Illinois area about the successes and challenges that the Flip classroom presents. Beth has served as the Middle School science department chair for many years. Her current role in the new curriculum development is what initiated her interest in providing a STEAM opportunity for our Middle School students. Beth has also been an integral part of the forward 95 initiative as the district moves toward providing the best education for our 21st leaders. Beth works closely with her brother who teaches a STEM class in a nearby district. Their collaboration has ignited Beth’s excitement for STEAM and provided her with the tools and encouragement to take a leap of educational faith which has led to the fruition of our Middle School’s first STEAM club.
